Founder & Leadership Team
A mature asset management firm should not depend solely on the judgment of any single investor or technology expert. Investment research, portfolio management, independent risk oversight, advanced technology, and investor education are held by distinct professional roles.

The Grandmaster of Capital
From Decision Science to Capital Management
Dr. Pietro Campanelli is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Eonvera Capital, as well as the creator and Chief Architect of EONVERA ADI, the Adaptive Decision Intelligence system.
Born in 1970 into an Italian-American family in New Jersey, Pietro grew up influenced by engineering discipline, systems thinking, and a humanistic education. His grandfather worked in mechanical and electrical equipment repair, teaching him the importance of preparation and risk prevention. His father's background in telecommunications engineering fostered his concern for system reliability. His mother's work in education instilled in him the belief that knowledge is truly valuable when it can be understood and used to help others.
These family influences gradually shaped three principles that would guide him throughout his life: preparation must come before risk materializes; complexity does not guarantee reliability; and knowledge and technology must serve human judgment.
Education at Leading Universities and More Than Two Decades of Investment Experience
From 1988 to 1992, Pietro attended Princeton University, focusing on operations research, applied mathematics, probability and statistics, and optimization methods. He then pursued a doctorate in operations research at Stanford University from 1992 to 1997, further studying stochastic optimization, dynamic decision-making, and capital allocation under uncertainty.
His education at these two universities led him to a question that would remain central to his work: when the future cannot be fully predicted, how can we still make better decisions?
After completing his doctoral studies, Pietro worked at three prominent U.S. investment firms. At D. E. Shaw (1997–2004) he immersed himself in systematic investing, probabilistic modeling, and computational methods, recognizing that the effectiveness of any model must be continually tested against real market conditions. At Bridgewater Associates (2004–2012) his work encompassed global macroeconomics, cross-asset allocation, liquidity, and risk budgeting; the 2008 financial crisis reinforced his focus on failed model assumptions, shifting market correlations, and extreme risks. At Two Sigma (2012–2018) he further explored data science, machine learning, distributed computing, and intelligent investment research, gradually developing the concept of an investment intelligence system in which multiple specialized models collaborate and validate one another.
From the dot-com bubble to the global financial crisis and the rise of artificial intelligence, Pietro became increasingly convinced that the greatest danger to an investment system is not simply that markets change, but that its decision-making methods remain rooted in a world that no longer exists.
The Grandmaster of Capital
The title “The Grandmaster of Capital” reflects Pietro's distinctive investment philosophy. In a traditional game of chess, the rules are relatively fixed. In capital markets, however, participants, policies, liquidity, technology, and even the rules of the market itself can change.
Pietro believes that exceptional investors need not predict every next move. Instead, they must be able to understand the broader landscape, identify critical variables, manage risk, and reallocate capital as conditions change. His investment philosophy emphasizes intrinsic value, probabilistic judgment, rigorous research, risk discipline, and continuous adaptation.
Founding Eonvera Capital and EONVERA ADI
In 2019, Pietro founded Eonvera Capital in Greenwood Village, Colorado. His decision to establish the firm in Colorado was driven not only by access to the Denver metropolitan area's financial and professional services resources, but also by his desire to foster long-term collaboration across investment research, artificial intelligence, engineering, advanced computing, and risk management.
In 2020, the global pandemic brought dramatic changes to market structures, liquidity, and correlations among assets, prompting Pietro to formally organize the development of EONVERA ADI (Adaptive Decision Intelligence).
ADI is not merely a stock-selection model or an automated trading program. It is an investment decision intelligence system that brings together financial research, model evolution, multi-agent collaboration, causal and scenario analysis, advanced computing, and intelligent risk governance. Its six core intelligence modules work together and continuously validate one another, integrating professional research and risk constraints into a unified investment decision-making process.
Pietro's ambition is not to build a machine that can predict the future, but to create intelligent investment infrastructure capable of recognizing new evidence, correcting errors, and improving judgment over time.
Investment Philosophy and Social Responsibility
Pietro describes his investment philosophy as Adaptive Decision Investing. In his view, mature investment management is not about searching for an answer that is always right. It is about making more reasoned choices amid uncertainty, based on available evidence, prevailing risks, and capital constraints.
He emphasizes five enduring principles: discipline creates freedom; preparation must come before risk arrives; never mistake knowledge for certainty; the greater the intelligence, the greater the responsibility; and adaptation matters more than prediction.
Pietro also places great importance on investor education. In 2020, Eonvera launched an online investor education program to help learners understand investment fundamentals, asset allocation, risk management, and intelligent research tools. He believes that advanced technology can expand the capabilities of financial research, but mature investors must also understand value, probability, and risk, and gradually develop the ability to make independent judgments.
Long-Term Vision | Making Investment Intelligence a Global Infrastructure
Pietro's vision for EONVERA ADI extends far beyond building a technology system solely for Eonvera's internal investment management. He aims to gradually transform validated financial research, multi-agent collaboration, risk analysis, and decision-support capabilities into professional intelligence services that individual and institutional investors around the world can use within their respective permissions and risk limits.
The journey from professional asset management to investment intelligence infrastructure is a continuation of Pietro's lifelong research and entrepreneurial work.
The real danger is not that the world changes, but that the world has already changed while we have not.
